Swivel Bar Stools
I've been noticing a lot of different designs on swivel bar stools lately. The standard that you see in a lot of old school pubs with the cushiony leather seat with the leather back to it too is still out there, as well as the kind that is just a seat with no back, but more and more, I find ones with clever designs on the seat. I've seen everything from ones that have "Coors Light," Coca Cola," or "Chevy" on it to ones featuring rock bands such as Kiss or Led Zeppelin. And I don't just mean the band names either. The version for Kiss, in particular, had the whole band in full make-up painted on there. It was really nice.

I've been looking at swivel bar stools lately because I wanted to add some to the breakfast counter in our home. Ever since my wife and I moved in, we have been talking about putting some seats there. We have one of those setups where the kitchen is right next to the dining room and there is an open counter between them for eating quick meals or just having a convenient place to sit while chopping food. But we are both master procrastinators and after several months, have still not gotten around to putting swivel bar stools or anything else there. So, it's just a wasted space that we could be doing so much more with.
Currently, we are arguing about what style of swivel bar stools to get though. we can't agree on anything. Not whether they should have a bak or not. Not what material they should be made out of. Not even whether there should be a design on there at all or it should be plain. She thinks that having something without a design on it would be more classy. I like the ones with something catchy painted on them. It's just more interesting to me.
It's funny because we always agree on things. I think we have maybe one fight a year. Not that this is serious, but it's just an issue that we can't seem to come to terms on. My wife tells me that if I want her to sit on something that says "Chevy" I should buy her a Corvette first, then she'll consider the stool. Cute. Real cute. If she keeps this up I'm going to find some swivel bar stools that say "Matchbox" and buy her a basket of toy cars to go with it! That ought to fix her little red wagon, but good!
I don't know. There must be a fair way to work this out. Maybe if we really can't agree on the style of swivel bar stools in the next couple weeks, we can just flip a coin, or buy two sets, or something. That way, we can use hers for half the year and mine for the other half. That sounds fair to me. Like it will keep both of us happy.
